Ashley did an interview for the Grand Rapids Press about the school program, Live - Laugh - Love that they did in health class last year. Great program by the way! Anyway, here's the article and the program has helped her to see things in life that people go through and experience and how to get through the not so great things in life.
Things that were not in the article. They do a fabulous self survey that helps the students identify where they rank on mental health and what is healthy and what is not. How to help our your friends and family that might be struggling, but also more importantly not to judge others that are having mental health issues. They did some GREAT games and interaction type lessons that they could laugh at, but really get to the issues after the game of how it hurts someone when you stereotype them and don't even get to know who they truly are.
I love what Christy Buck does with this program and we are huge fans at our house. GREAT JOB ASHLEY!!!
